Located 45 minutes Southeast of St. Louis, Mo. we live in a rural community by choice. Our goats are hand raised and cherished for what they will become.

Grade, American or Purebred - each animal has the opportunity here to develop into their full potential.

*

Early on we realized that three things were essential to being responsible livestock caretakers: Nurture, Knowledge and Commitment.  Our customers have returned since 2004 to either add to their herd, have a Doe bred or to reacquaint themselves with the basics of care. Through yearly pre-breeding testing, we ensure that the Nubians who have a brief stay on our property are as healthy as the ones that live here year round.

*

We keep a small sustainable herd and practice professionalism in every aspect of our daily care. An average day might consist of 6 hours care just for the Goats, however it is very fulfilling.

*

2007 had many milestones for our little farm. We purchased a fine Longman Doe and Buck from Betty Longman in Oregon, we transferred all registrations to IDGR, and we purchased a larger property to continue to maintain proper pasture for the Herd.

*

We now have our first Longman sired kids on the ground and are very happy with the results. Merope, the Doe, will be bred in Fall of 2008 for our first Longman/Longman line. Our goal was to bring in milking/show lines not seen in the Southern Illinois area. While we have continued to improve our herd one buck or doe at a time, for the next several years we will concentrate on ensuring that we continue our Standards of Excellence.
